How enrollment works

Enrollment is completed online through Torrance Unified's PowerSchool Enrollment system. Applications are also accepted in person at the Family Welcome Enrollment Center.

WHAT YOU NEED

Documents needed for enrollment

Gather these before you begin — you'll upload them directly to the online application, and you can complete everything from any device with internet access.

Proof of age

Your student's birth certificate or passport.

Immunization records

Yellow card or printout from your healthcare provider or clinic, showing your student's full name and date of birth. See California's requirements at Shots for School.

Tuberculosis (TB) clearance

Documentation of your student's TB clearance from your healthcare provider: TB Risk Assessment & Clearance Form.

Parent/guardian photo ID

A government-issued photo ID for the enrolling parent or guardian.

Proof of address

Acceptable documentation includes a mortgage statement, rental or lease agreement, utility bill, insurance statement, government correspondence, vehicle registration, pay stub, or other financial statement.

Optional documents

Helpful if you have them, but not required to complete enrollment: your student's most recent IEP or 504 Plan, report card or transcript, and custody agreement (if applicable).
